FixupXer
02 · URL cleaner for Android
Strips known tracking parameters from links, optionally rewrites social links so they preview properly or open without an account, and lets you build your own ordered rules. Everything runs on the device: the app declares no permissions and makes no network requests.
Google Play and F-Droid. Guides and every download option, including the GitHub APK, are on fixupxer.com.
Features
What FixupXer does
- Removes known tracking parameters and keeps the ones a page needs, across major social, shopping, search, news and streaming sites, with a general cleaner for the rest and offline unwrapping of known redirect links
- Optionally rewrites social links: an embed frontend for better chat previews, or a reader that needs no account, chosen separately for sharing and for Browser Mode
- Private Link Guard flags an e-mail address or sign-in token still left in a link before you pass it on — a limited check, not a guarantee
- Works from Share, from a pasted link, from "Clean link" in apps that support it, or as the default browser through Browser Mode
- Your own URL rules, off until you enable them: for simple cases, draft one from a before-and-after example, and preview it in Test Lab before switching it on
- No account, no ads, no analytics and no permissions: every link is processed on the phone
Set-up guides and the minimum Android release are kept on fixupxer.com, alongside the release notes, so there is one place to trust.
